Balagam is set in a village in Telangana and it revolves around the after effects on a family and its relations, both with the village folks and among themselves, after the jovial patriarch of the family suddenly passes away.
The story happens in Visakhapatnam. A group of four people (a film producer, a stand up comedian, a doctor and a pre wedding shoot photographer) goes to a place top attend performa sanmanam event of a celebrity astrologer.
